Before you start, check that you have the following ingredients.

You will also have things to wash up afterwards. The dishes and appliances to have at hand are:
- a non-stick saucepan;
- a wooden spoon;
- a cup.
Preparation and cooking time
It usually takes us 15 minutes to prepare this meal. No rush though, takes as long as it takes.

Steps
- Preheat a sauce pan, and pore the oats in.
- Add the sultanas, and wait a few minutes until the oats start to roast.
- Now add the cup of milk, and let the oats absorb it.
- Add the cup of water and let it absorb but keep it runny enough.
- Add the sugar and stir for a minute.
- Serve with a tsp of strawberry jam on top.
